The Project

Replacement of existing five span bridge. Demolition and removal of existing bridge superstructure, approaches, and abutments. Reconstruction of top of abutments and pier caps, including bearing seats, wingwalls and ballast walls. Refacing of existing abutments and piers in the channel. Isolation of existing water course. Erection of new structural steel girders and bearing assemblies. Construction of new bridge deck, overhang complete with sidewalks, parapet walls and approach slabs.  Relocation of utilities and reconstruction of roadway.
